Agreement

By accessing or using Used & Rated, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

The service

Used & Rated provides community-submitted product reviews, optional prices paid, comparisons, rankings, and trust signals. Experiences and prices vary by person, retailer, location, product variant, promotion, and time.

Accounts

You are responsible for access to your email account and for activity performed through your Used & Rated account. Provide accurate account information and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your contributions

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Used & Rated a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt, analyse, publish, and display that content as needed to operate, improve, moderate, and promote the service.

When contributing, you confirm that:

• The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You genuinely used the product as stated in your review.
• Any price paid and retailer information is accurate.
• You have the right to submit any text or image you provide.
• Evidence does not expose another person’s private or payment information.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• Submit fabricated reviews, purchases, votes, evidence, or identities.
• Manipulate ratings, rankings, trust scores, or reviewer reputation.
• Harass others or submit unlawful, harmful, or misleading content.
• Upload malware or attempt to bypass security or rate limits.
• Scrape, resell, or republish substantial parts of the service in a way that harms the service or its community.

Verification and moderation

Automated checks and community vouches are confidence signals, not guarantees. We may review, label, merge, correct, hide, or remove products, reviews, prices, evidence, or accounts. We are not required to publish every contribution or explain every moderation decision.

Third-party services

Used & Rated may link to retailers, Stripe, and other third-party services. Their products, availability, pricing, content, and policies are outside our control. A link does not imply endorsement.

Support payments

Support payments are voluntary and do not purchase products, special rankings, moderation outcomes, or additional trust. Payments are processed by Stripe and are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout.

Intellectual property

Used & Rated's software, design, branding, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Retailer and product names and marks belong to their respective owners.

Disclaimers and liability

Used & Rated is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the service or any price will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for a particular purchase.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Used & Rated is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on community reviews, product experiences, prices, retailer actions, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Used & Rated at any time. We may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, or the integrity of the review record, including for a breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law in your country gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. Material updates will be shown in the service with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply.
